The Greek club Panserraikos is rumored to be interested in signing the 21 year old Uganda attacker Herman Nteza.
The young attacker reaches the 22 year old mark in December, which is only in a few months’ time but a problem that Panserraikos might face in attempting to sign Herman is the fact that there are other clubs which are monitoring him and also believed to be on the verge of securing his services.
Vipers Sports Club are the reigning champions of the Uganda Cup and they have also been linked with Herman Nteza.
The agent of Herman Nteza is Geofrey Solo Kayemba and he has confirmed that his client is indeed available to be signed by any club and the team that does manage to sign him up will depend on whichever launches the best offer for the young attacker.
‘’It is a win win situation, whoever comes with the best offer for Herman Wasswa will be considered.’’ That was the statement released by Herman Nteza’s agent, GeofreyKayemba.
Kayemba also confirmed that Panserraikos had already launched an offer or invitation for the 21 year old player and according to the player’s representative, all that is left now is for Herman Nteza for him to get his visa but that almost everything else is done or at least believed to be in the final stages of completion.
‘’We got the invitation from Panserraikos and now what remains is the visa so that he travels for the final assessment and talks’’ GeofreyKayemba added on as he revealed information concerning Panserraikos as its turning into a potential football destination for his player, Herman Wasswa.
Even though Herman Nteza is still very young, he has already lifted a number of titles including 3 domestic trophies as a player of Kampala Capital City Authority FC and he was the top goal-scorer of Uganda Premier League during the season of 2012-13 with 20 goals.
Not every team has been able to hold onto their days of former glory and one such team is Greece.
Giorgos Karagounis feels that teams like Wales have the belief and the confidence that Greece had back in 2004. It was quite some time that Greece was able to win a tournament like Euros. This was about 12 years back. Being a midfielder, he was part of the winning team and he feels that the team had the confidence and the belief in their skills and strategies which helped them through the win
The team has stunned the world when they lifted the trophy that year. The team had been nicknamed the Pirate Ship as it was an unknown opponent on the field who had captured the tournament that year. Everyone saw the Lisbon city becoming a Greek colony as that year saw the fans in Portugal as well as in Athens rejoicing and singing praises of the team. The way the Wales are playing in 2016 reminds Giorgos of the way their team played in Greece.
GiorgiosKaragounis has played an important role for the Greece national side as he made over 130 appearances for the national side which is more than any other player in the history of Greece.
The retired player was part of the Greece squad that won the 2004 Euro’s and it’s hard to deny the fact that Karagounis used to be one of the main figureheads and leaders of the national team during his playing career as he was the captain of Greece for a period of time.
Greece was eliminated from the 2014 World Cup on June 29 as they faced off with Costa Rica and lost in the penalty-kicks, after this match was over GiorgiosKaragounis decided to retire from performing at the international stage.
Following his retirement from Greece, Karagounis opted to become the national team director of his country but the retired performer had his contract terminated after a string of disastrous results during Greece’s journey through the 2016 Euro’s qualifiers.
Sergio Markarian was the coach of Greece but he was fired from his position during the same time that GiorgosKaragounis was also dismissed from his director role and it’s reported that both of them had ongoing issues and this was one of the main problems that led to Greece going through a string of negative results and ultimately the removal from both figures from their position in the national side.
Former National team director of Greece and Ex-Fulham Midfielder, Giorgios Karagounis has been leading a rather personal life since his disgraceful exit by the apex footballing body in Greece. Greek football federation (EPO) terminated the contract of the 38-year-old who doubles as the most capped Greek player. Giorgios Karagounis has 139 caps to his credit for the national team.
The star player was fired alongside other technical staff August last year. The apex body also claimed Giorgios Karagounis interfered with the job of Sergio Markarian when he was the head coach of the Greek team. Local media concurred with the claims of the Greek apex body and even went further to say Karagounis was the reason behind the resignation of Markarian.
The star player, whose club footballing career includes Panathinaikos, Inter Milan, Benfica and Fulham, refuted the claims.
GiorgiosKaragounishas played a huge role for the Greece national football team as he’s the most capped player in the history of the national side and the Karagounis was a key figure in the European Championship that Greece won back in the 2004 Euro’s. His importance and influence in the team was so evident that he became the captain of the national team and helped them in qualifying for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
However, even with everything that GiorgiosKaragounis accomplished with Greece during his playing career, it seems like his relationship with the head chiefs of the national side isn’t very good as the former captain and manager of the Greece national team revealed details concerning things that happened involving him and the head chiefs.
It’s important to remember that when GiorgiosKaragounis decided to hang up his boots and retire, he later went on to become the manager of Greece but his time in charge didn’t last very long as he was sacked after suffering a fairly embarrassing home defeat against Faroe Islands which ultimately led with Karagounis being replaced by Sergio Markarian.
Karagounis stepped up as he had a few things to say concerning the Greece national side and he said: “The most striking thing is that since all of this first started I have kept seeing my professional dignity being tarnished in the media and nobody from the Greek football federation has bothered to contact me to tell me anything’’
Sam Allardyce has been the manager of West Ham United since June of 2011 but his time in the Premier League club might be reaching it’s end as the 60 year old English manager is continuously being linked with a move away from the club at the Boleyn Ground.
The managerial contract that Allardyce has with West Ham United expires at the end of the season and so far it remains uncertain if he will be offered a contract extension beyond the summer.
Marcelo Bielsa, David Moyes, Eddie Howe and Rafael Benitez are just some of the names which have been popping around as any of them are being rumored on taking up the managerial role at West Ham United if Sam Allardyce is not offered a new contract in the next few months.
Sam Allardyce himself has announced that he remains unsure as to what will happen as the English manager said: “No, I don’t know if I’m going to be here. But I don’t see any other way, that in my position, when you are contracted at a football club, you do the job that you are paid to do.”
