OLYMPIACOS ACE REVEALS TRANSFER INTEREST

Olympiacos defender Pape AbouCisse revealed to reporters that West Ham were among a host of clubs after his signature in the summer. Cisse is regarded as one of the best defenders in Greece and has been a constant feature for the Greek champions in this year’s Champions League.

He was quoted in an interview with French tabloid Le Quotidien where he revealed that Rennes, Monaco, and Wolves were other clubs interested in him.  He, however, alluded that his dream was to play in the Premier League but he remains under contract with Olympiacos.

Cisse is a physical defender capable of winning balls in the air and is also adept at passing out from the back.  Meanwhile, Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Trabzonspor goalkeeper UgurcanCakir according to reports from Turkey. Turkish tabloid Fanatik claims that the Red Devils have sent scouts to watch the stopper play in the Europa League tonight against Krasnodar.

It is understood that Liverpool and Sevilla have also sent scouts as the interest in the player begins to rise due to his impressive form. Fanatik further claims that Liverpool and Manchester United are both in a straight tussle for the 23-year-old and have made communications with his representatives.

Trabzonspor are happy with the interest in the player and the club have valued him at around €20million. This they feel is a good valuation of the stopper who has become one of the best in the Turkish Super Lig.

Cakircan play the ball with his feet and is an excellent shot-stopper, he has also been capped by the Turkish national team. The 23-year-old had earlier in the season spoken of his desire to play for a high-profile club but also reiterated his desire to win the league title with Trabzonspor.

At the moment, all reports linking him with an exit are speculations but as we get closer to the January window, there could be concrete moves by both EPL giants for his signature.
